Group Therapy Programs

Our group therapy programs offer a supportive, compassionate space where you can connect with others who understand what you’re going through. Guided by experienced therapists, each group is designed to help build coping skills, gain new perspectives, and feel less alone in your journey toward better mental health.

Our group therapists are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and Aetna. Private pay and out-of-network options are available. Contact our practice manager, Grace Chong, at grace@jamiestevenscounseling.com or at 217-840-2785 to register or to explore insurance and payment options.

Neurodiverse Women and Marginalized Genders Group

Tuesdays at 6 PM

Many neurodivergent women, nonbinary, and trans folks feel their experience with neurodivergence deeply impacted by their experiences being raised in a gendered world. Whether that be from gender-based discrimination, lack of support due to gender norms, later-in-life diagnosis, or sensory issues related to menstruation, menopause, and other hormonal fluxes, these are alienating experiences for folks at this crossroads of marginalization. Therapist Avi Hessel and clinical intern Peri Drury are offering a therapeutic and safe space to explore this nuanced experience with gender and neurodivergence, where we will offer a combination of therapeutic interventions and a safe community space for processing and connection.

This group will first take place over 8 weeks, on a weekly basis with a maximum of 6 participants per enrollment session. Group meetings are held at 100 Trade Center Dr, suite 306, in Champaign. Consistent participation is necessary as this group is focused on community and support. We understand life happens and things come up so talk to us if you foresee this being an issue for you.
